Toastmasters and Corporations
Toastmasters and Corporations
(by Sam Mehta, DTM, ESTM member and District 65 2006-2007 Governor)
The Toastmasters program provides tools that enable its members to become effective public speakers and leaders. Toastmasters makes effective communication a worldwide reality. A company's success depends on communication. Employees face endless challenges as they deal with one another and with customers day after day. How well they communicate can determine whether a company grows into an industry leader or join thousands of other businesses mired in mediocrity. Today, thousands of corporations and government agencies sponsor in-house Toastmasters clubs as communication training workshops for their employees. Effective speakers and leaders advance their careers through:
- Giving better sales presentations
- Honing management skills
- Effectively developing and presenting ideas
- Offering constructive criticism
